I saw one of these at work when we were grilling at our family friend's house, and I knew that I wanted to get a similar one. And thus, I was excited at a chance to try this product, hoping that it would be of similar quality to the one that I had seen used.
I used this yesterday for the first time, and I was very pleased! It was very easy to use, with the pad attaching to the scraper via velcro (I did think that the velcro was a bit weak at first, but I didn't have issues with the pad falling off; and so, I didn't take any stars off). You then just follow the instructions to heat up the grill, soak the pad in water, and you are then ready to start cleaning the grill. I was pleasantly surprised at how well everything came off; I plan on using this at the beginning of any grilling session and then again at the end.
As a bonus, I loved the fact that this came with two extra pads (3 in total included). If your grill isn't that dirty, these pads can definitely be reused; I plan to reuse them as I needed. It looks like they are going to be selling the replacements at $10/pad, which does seem to be a bit expensive; however, I will wait to pass a judgment on that until I know how long the pads last for us.

Love the shape of this sturdy tool which makes it 1000% easier to apply strong pressure to crusty grill grates. The bottom line is that no matter what, the most important element to a good grill clean is elbow grease, and the shape of this tool allows me to apply much more pressure given the effort expended.
The instructions say wet the sponge and with a hot grill to use the steam to clean the grates, which does work well. But given that the knob (and my hand) on the grill brush could be closer than normal to the grates, the volume of steam generated was unpredictable. The second time I used the brush, the grill was just a bit warm, which worked almost as well. The third time, I wore BBQ gloves while cleaning with a hot grill and that worked best without any risk of steam injuries to my hand.

Over the last several years, I have tried many non-steel brush grill cleaners. This one is the best I’ve tried so far. The whole wire brush thing is scary, so I turned to alternatives a few years ago. I was using a wooden paddle that burns into a form fit for your grill. That works for some stuff but still left the grill not really clean. So thought I would try one of these new steam scrubber brushes. Wow, this works really well. Since I use a charcoal grill, I got it fired up and somewhere over 400 degrees and then hit it with the brush. Right away I could see that the grate was much cleaner. I like the little handle to push down on too so I can scrub hard if I need to. Also very nice to get three cleaning pads as these are definitely going to wear out.
